The Severed Sun
I recently worked on the music for Dean Puckett’s first fiction feature, The Severed Sun, which had its premiere at Fantastic Fest (Austin TX) and is now doing a turn on the festival circuit.
The entire soundtrack was recorded ahead of the shoot, using the script as a guide. Dean and Paco Sweetman then cut the film to our music. I’ve been making film soundtracks with James Forde Stewart and Thomas Michael Williams for a while now under the Bizarre Rituals alias, and we are now working as Unknown Horrors. The soundtrack was created using double bass, Ms20, Prophet 6, Rhodes, Juno 106 and a host of weird guitar pedals.
